Now on its third year, Art Fair Philippines will again impress guests as it transforms The Link at the Ayala Cenre into a hub for various contemporary artists to meet their enthusiastic audiences and eager buyers. For this year, broadening the art selection are participants from the Southeast Asian region. Managed by the Philippine Art Events, Inc., the fair held in the metropolis supports the vital local art scene by promoting it to both local and international patrons.

Mike Adrao's  Study for Elegant Beasts Beautiful Decay (Snakes)

The four-day event, which starts on February 5, has Kenneth Cobonpue, a world-renowned industrial designer, and his team modifying the lay-out of the fair, which features exhibits on every level of the car park building, as well as all-day casual dining and refreshment areas. The reception area will welcome guests to the socio-political gothic vibe of Mike Adrao’s articulately detailed drawings. Covering two levels are thirty-three galleries, eight of which are foreign, namely: 1335 Mabini, Altromondo, Archivo, Arndt, Art Cube, Artesan, Art Informal, Art Verite, Avellana Art Gallery, Blanc, Boston Gallery, CANVAS, Crucible, Edouard Malingue Gallery, Equator Art Projects, Finale Art File, Galeria Duemila, Galerie Michael Janssen, J Studio, MO_, Nova Gallery, Nunu Fine Art, Pablo, Paseo Gallery, ROH Projects, Salcedo Private View, Secret Fresh, Silverlens, TAKSU, The Drawing Room, Tin-Aw Art Gallery, Vinyl on Vinyl, and West Gallery.

The central exhibit space on the sixth floor will showcase the debut life-sized pieces of the artist-professor, Roberto Feleo. With a recommendation from Dr. Patrick Flores, the curator of the Philippine pavilion to the 56th Venice Biennale, the seventh level will feature pieces by Poklong Anading, Annie Cabigting, Buen Calubayan, Mariano Ching and Yasmin Sison, Kawayan de Guia, Alfredo Esquillo Jr., Geraldine Javier, and Maria Taniguchi. During the fair, the internationally acclaimed speaker of extraordinary art, Christie’s will conduct its lecture series, Christie’s Art Forum, to deepen the interest of enthusiasts.
