Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila started the Year of the Rooster celebrations with an elegant and nostalgic fashion show by international and multi-awarded fashion designer Albert Andrada.  For his fourth sartorial presentation at Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila, Albert highlighted the celebration of abundance in life with a 15-piece collection inspired by the flowers of spring in China. Definitely, it was an interpretation of Filipino design and innovation with Albert Andrada’s 15 dazzling masterpieces noted for its’ opulence, detail and craftsmanship.

The Spiral staircase and escalators became a showcase of his haute couture gowns befitting luxury and elegance.  Just as it is the Miss Universe fever in the country, the show featured models from Mercator who illuminated the whole Spiral among which were Jodilly Pendre – runner up in the second cycle of Asia’s Next Top Model, Christi McGarry, Justine Gabionza – 1st runner up Miss Tourism Queen International,  Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2015,Bianca Guidotti – Binibining Pilipinas International 2014, Yvethe Santiago, Binibining Pilipinas Supranational 2014,  Marie Ann Umali, Binibining Pilipinas World 2009, Elaine Moll, Binibining Pilipinas first runner up 2012, Alaiza Malinao, contestant in  Asia's Next Top Model Cycle 4. They are joined by the country’s top male models -  Hideo Muraoka and Sam Adjani, Mr. World Philippine 2016.

Models were styled to glamorous perfection with make-up by Guerlain and hair by Aveda, while the featured ensembles are enhanced with golden pearls by Jewelmer. Actress and model Kaila Estrada was awarded Lady Guerlain of the night. Lucky Spiral guests won special gifts that evening from Nuxe Paris, Tefal Kitchenware, Le Spa and Vietura.

Guests enjoyed a bountiful feast prepared by Spiral’s culinary artisan, Chinese Chef Michael Tai which featured three variations of Chinese cuisine: Cantonese, Hakka and Sze Chuan. On regular days, Spiral’s dining patrons can enjoy the Chinese ateliers sumptuous offerings from the Wok, Noodles and Peking Duck.
