Bengy Toda, Joanna and Raul Francisco

Provenance Art Gallery held a cocktail at Shangri-la at the Fort, to celebrate the opening of acclaimed photographer Bengy Toda’s exhibit: Building Bridges. Gallery owners Raul and Joanna Francisco and partner Derek Flores along with Bengy and Monique Toda proudly welcomed guests like Betsy Westendorp, Lizzie and Jaime Zobel, Maritess Tantoco, Ane Preysler, Stephanie Kienle Gonzalez, Anton Huang, Evelyn Forbes, David and Marilu Batchelor. DJ Cocoy Puyat kept the crowd upbeat with a varied selection of music as food and drinks were passed around.

Toda has been all over the world, however Building Bridges focuses on home, The Philippines. The exhibition showcased stunning black and white, infrared, scenes of landscapes filled with luscious trees, lakes and bridges from Corregidor. The photographs urge people to remember the Filipino spirit, which like Corregidor, is battle-worn, unwavering and unbeatable.
