Salcedo Auctions packaged three exciting auctions in one weekend, breaking records with stellar sales. First on the block was Salcedo’s newest sale category, Philippine Tribal and Ethnographic Art, followed by the Important Philippine Art auction, and capped off with the Fine Jewelry & Timepieces sale. One of the pieces sold at an astonishing price is National Artist Ang Kiukok’s figurative expressionist Harvest, 2001. The weekend also proved that sterling provenance is highly coveted by serious collectors as when Caroline Kennedy’s private collection of works by former husband, National Artist BenCab, was sold successfully.
