More than a decade since her breakout role in Mean Girls, the Hollywood star has gone on to prove her acting (and singing) credentials with meaty roles such as Cosette in Les Misérables. We chat with the face of Clé de Peau Beauté.
How has your beauty routine changed since you’ve become a mum?
Amanda Seyfried (AS) It hasn’t really changed. Since my pregnancy and having given birth five months ago, my skin has remained clear. I’ve been super lucky. I slap on the Clé de Peau Beauté Cream and Serum at night and my skin is the best it’s ever been.
What is your personal style like?
AS Casual and comfortable. I love cashmere sweaters, jeans and shorts. I recently splurged on an Elder Statesman sweater. They’re insanely expensive, but I’m going to wear that sweater every day of my life. Just kidding!
What is your favourite item from the latest Clé de Peau Beauté autumn/winter make‑up collection?
AS Probably the lipstick in No 8 [Red Lantern]. It’s not a bright red, it’s a deeper, cooler, browner red, which I prefer. It’s very matte, it’s very fun.
Who is your personal beauty icon?
AS I’ve never thought about it, but I think it’s my mum, because she’s really happy. She’s chosen her own path and she feels really empowered by that.
What is the one thing you would never do in the name of looking beautiful?
AS I would never undergo surgery. You can come after me if that changes.
Where is your favourite vacation spot?
AS My farm. I love it so much. I haven’t been there since Christmas and it’s summer now, so I’ve got a lot of goats that I haven’t met yet. I have a caretaker who runs the place and helps the goats get to know each other. It’s really funny.
What is your dream role?
AS I would really love to play singer Eva Cassidy, but they’ve already made a movie on her. I would also love to play Glinda in Wicked.
