The Sound of Love

Share your love in a unique way this holiday season

Back at the beginning of the 20th century when only the wealthiest could afford to own a radio, two Danish engineers, Peter Bang and Svend Olufsen, tinkered with radio technology at the latter’s manor and went on to become two of the most notable names in the audio and multimedia industry.

Starting their business in the 1920s, the Art Deco era, Bang and Olufsen created radios with impeccable designs using technology that was considered innovative during the time.

Living up to its founders’ creativity, Bang & Olufsen has adapted to the rapidly flourishing technology, emerging as one of the world’s top manufacturers of speakers, televisions, and telephones. And in celebration of its 90th birthday, Bang & Olufsen upgrades its finest pieces to rose gold as a gift to its patrons as a testament to its limitless creativity, subsequently tickling our fancy with the beautiful creations.

The exclusive Love Affair Collection, featuring six of its best products: the all-in-one entertainment solutions, BeoVision 11-46 and BeoRemote One, the grandiose BeoVision Avant 85, the elegant and lightweight BeoPlay H6, the extremely popular magic-tough BeoPlay A9 music system, and Philippine Tatler’s favourite of the bunch, the slender BeoLab 18 with a new walnut lamella front and a cabinet.

“We see this exclusive collection as a living illustration of the love affair that has lasted from our origin, where the passion and dedication to craftsmanship and quality of two Danish engineers, Peter Bang and Svend Olufsen, caught the attention of people all over the world,” says Marie Kristine Schmidt, VP for brand, design, and marketing.

Inspired by Bang & Olufsen’s love affair with its treasured customers, all the pieces of the collection come in elegant rose gold, which has been making a comeback in recent years. Rose gold, aside from being used in the jewellery industry and featured in the most luxurious products, also represents love. Fused with warm and elegant walnut woods, the rose gold colour is applied through a unique dyeing process. The collection also incorporates the warm colour fabrics the company developed with fashion designer Stine Goya.

With Bang & Olufsen’s Love Affair Collection, the company’s commitment to offering the charm, luxury, and quality its customers’ eyes and ears deserve shines through.
