An Australian national who gained his wealth of experience from various international chains and brands in Australia, Asia, Europe, and Middle East, was recently appointed to lead two of InterContinental Hotels Group’s (IHG) premier brands in Metro Manila – the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria and Holiday Inn Manila Galleria. 

GR, as he is fondly called, literally toured all service facets of the hotel operations in his twenty three years in the industry. As a well-rounded hotelier, he specializes in Human Resources and Revenue Management. He has worked in all fields of the industry from food and beverage to rooms operations. His first appointment as General Manager was in Holiday Inn Resort Damai Beach in Malaysia. He also led Crowne Plaza Mutiara in Kuala Lumpur and Crowne Plaza London – The City. Prior to joining Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria and Holiday Inn Manila Galleria, he was the General Manager of Holiday Inn Clark.

GR is known for his unique leadership style and strategic drive for business. “I like engaging with my team, with the community, to help in creating a place for guests to enjoy, relax, stay, and eat great food”, he shares.
