A British national, Busfield is a seasoned hotelier, encompassing more than 30 years in the hospitality industry. Prior to joining the Shangri-La group and being assigned in the Philippines, Busfield comes from international chains as a general manager, with a strong sales and marketing background. She handled hotels and resorts in Europe and Asia Pacific, including Britain, Hong Kong, Brunei, Australia, Fiji and Phuket.

Busfield replaces Ester Marcaida, who will move on to handle various Shangri-La projects. “After two years, I am confident to leave Shangri-La’s Boracay Resort and Spa in the capable hands of Anne. I am positive she will continue to helm the resort’s consistent success with the help of the entire team,” Marcaida said.

“I am delighted to be part of Shangri-La, which is a known market leader in luxury hotels across Asia Pacific, and is a promising brand that continues to grow worldwide,” Busfield said. “Boracay is an exciting destination, and Filipinos are known worldwide for their naturally warm and heartfelt hospitality. I look forward to working with the team in continuing to make Shangri-La’s Boracay Resort and Spa the top destination for luxury accommodation that it already is, locally and internationally.”
