Filipina artist Mariko Jacinto recently concluded her first New York solo exhibition at the flagship store of the famed jewellery company Hueb. The artist chose to paint beautiful scenic spots from various landscapes, as well as portraits of people in the exhibition titled Commitment. Hueb’s Soigne Kothari and Jacinto selected signature pieces to go with each artwork, showing the viewers that jewellery and art go hand in hand.

For this exhibition, the artist divided the collection into two series—light and life. “I have been to so many obstacles in [my] life, but it never stopped me from pursuing my dreams,” Jacinto said. “New York is the city which gives hope to artists like me. The energy that I have transferred to my artwork will be shared with the people who will view my exhibition.”
