Watch and read all the highlights of the 2015 Philippine Tatler Ball.

There was a palpable air of excitement and anticipation as the guests to the 14th anniversary Philippine Tatler Ball gathered for cocktails at the mezzanine of the Makati Shangri-La. They sipped chilled Moët & Chandon champagne as even more ladies in flowing ball gowns and men in tuxedos filled the area.

Soon it was time to enter the Rizal Ballroom which was gorgeously decked out in a variety of red flowers while the air was fragrantly scented with 200 Jo Malone candles.

Michel Lamuniere, Executive Chairman of Edipresse Asia, welcomed the guests and told them about plans for the next year. Philippine Tatler's Managing Director, Irene Martel Francisco, thanked everyone for their support through the years. She made special mention of this Tatler Ball's major partners who were financial giant Citibank, the leading telecom firm Globe, and the legendary Mercedes-Benz.

Every year, The Philippine Tatler Ball hosts a fundraiser; this year's beneficiary was Operation Smile. It is an organization which provides free cleft lip and palate surgeries for children in need. An appeal was made to the guests to support the cause. The target to be raised for this initiative was PHP 6,000,000 of which the publication would donate PHP 600,000.

A much appreciated dinner followed that was perfectly prepared by the Makati Shangrila-La team and fittingly paired with fine wines from Bacchus International.

The Tatler Charity Auction, which occurs during the ball, featured five lots that raised top amounts for Operation Smile. Thanks are thus in order to Dedon Island, Salcedo Auctions, Qatar Airways, Glenmorangie, Rosewood London, Chopard, Tokyo Shangri-La and Bulgari.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Philippine Tatler Awards 2015 to exemplary individuals. Stephanie Kienle Gonzales was awarded as Most Stylish Lady. The Couple of the Year went to Lito and Kim Camacho. Entrepreneur of the Year was Myla Crespo Villanueva. Dee Hora Zobel was given the Philanthropy Award. Finally, the coveted Diamond Award for lifetime achievement went to Joselito Campos, Jr.

The Tatler Ball flowed seamlessly, with each segment blending into the other so well. The efforts of the GBA Events Asia are always so appreciated in handling the logistics of the evening.

The Philippine Tatler Ball raised a total of Php 10,750,000 as of this writing, surpassing its target by a big margin. This means that 716 children will receive free surgeries! It was indeed an elegant evening dedicated to celebrating life and philanthropy.
