These prolific personalities have been seen enjoying the cool breeze of Tagaytay and lazing amidst an intimate setting of lush greenery at Antonio’s The Lanai Lounge.

In 2002 Tony Boy Escalante opened Antonio’s, the hacienda-like structure that serves exquisite cuisine on his farm property in Tagaytay. The extensive traveller and disciplined chef attracted the accolades of fine diners all over the Philippines, and across Asia. Twelve years later, a new addition to his group of restaurants arises: The Lanai Lounge.

The garden bar opened in April to meet the heat of the summer, welcoming beach-worn city-weary guests with signature drinks like the Antonio’s Martini and Arugula Lemon Drop wheeled around by a cocktail cart. A distinguished team led by the architect Boy Vicente, design curator and hospitality service consultant Isabel Lozano, and beverage specialist Lee Watson created this outdoor reflection of the chef ’s personality. Fresh ingredients and delectable cheeses, greens, charcuterie, and the well-loved foie gras pâté await patrons from the late morning until the sun sets.

WHO TO KNOW

The chef Tony Boy Escalante hardly needs any introduction, having gifted many with the experience of a great meal at any of the Antonio’s restaurants for over a decade. Despite the success of his culinary empire, he still churns out creations for his new project. “It’s like bringing a child into the world,” he says.
