Love Marie Escudero, known for her years in show business as Heart Evangelista, has been in the art scene for the past few years, growing her brand from doing exhibits like her sold-out show at Ayala Museum in 2014, to collaborations with designers like her recent show with Mark Bumgarner earlier this year. She celebrates another milestones with her bag-painting business with a one-of-a-kind exhibit aptly named, Carry Your HeArt, at the Volkswagen Showroom, Bonifacio Global City on September 3-9, 2016. The exhibit will showcase her creations painted on luxury bags.

She attributes developing her style to her former painting instructor, Ivan Roxas. She shares, “He said that I was very stubborn. You have a certain style that I don’t want to touch.” Escudero made a huge milestone being the first Filipino to exhibit at Chan Hampe Galleries in Raffles Hotel, Singapore.

Her art has become a lucrative business with clients having their luxury bags painted at about Php 90,000.00 per artwork. “It took some time to research on the right kind of paint. It’s actually the same paint they use to repaint bags.” While her paint preserves the bag’s value, she still cautions the owners to have a dehumidifier and silicone gels to keep the bag and artwork intact.
