GapKids partners with Ellen DeGeneres for a collection and campaign that aims to help girls realise their individualism.

In support of the individualism and liberation of little girls all over the world, GapKids joins forces with Ellen DeGeneres’ lifestyle brand for the limited edition collection GapKids x ED. The collection is also supported by a campaign that promotes the value of being one’s own self, something that Gap shares with the Hollywood personality.

The collection features a piece of iconography, the speech bubble, which signifies self-expression. The lighting bolt is also prominently shown on the pieces, especially on graphic T-shirts.

Martine Francisco, Rocio Trillo, Yana Po, Amanda Francisco, Mia Gosiengfiao, Maxine Eduque, and Annyka Cayabyab

In the Philippines, Gap has selected seven young girls who have showcased their personalities through their talents to embody the values of the collection. Amanda Francisco and Maxine Eduque are both young painters who have shown their creativity in their works of art. Rocio Trillo spends her time capturing the beauty of life through her camera. Mia Gosiengfiao has won gold medals at international gymnastics competitions, and similarly Annyka Cayabyab has been making waves in the international golfing scene with her wins in various tournaments around the world. Finally, tennis player Yana Po and softball player Martine Francisco are also set to take the sporting world as they make their way to establishing athletic careers.

Beyond the stores, Gap is also encouraging social engagement in the form of the hashtag “#heyworld” followed by a name, in the effort to send messages of positivity and inspiration to any girl in need.
