1. Alessandro Michele appointed creative director of Valentino

Following Pierpaolo Piccioli’s departure from Valentino, rumours in the fashion industry flew that Alessandro Michele would take over as creative director, and that news has been officially confirmed. His first collection for the maison will be presented during Paris Fashion Week for the spring-summer 2025 season.

2. Anya Taylor-Joy shares wedding photos wearing Dior

Actress Anya Taylor-Joy confirmed the rumours she had gotten married to musician Malcolm McRae two years ago with a carousel post of dreamlike wedding photos. She wore a romantic strapless gown designed by Dior, which she is a brand ambassador for.

3. Cartier launches the Trinity Centenary campaign film with major stars

Cartier ambassadors Jisoo, Paul Mescal, Yara Shahidi, Jackson Wang and Labrinth star in the brand’s latest campaign film celebrating its 100-year-old collection, Trinity. The rings, bracelets and pendants feature interlocking details, symbolising forms of love and connection.

4. Gucci Beauty appoints NewJeans’ Hanni as global brand ambassador

Hanni from NewJeans is the new face of Gucci Beauty. This marks an expansion of her work with the maison—she was appointed Gucci’s global brand ambassador in October 2022. In the new Gucci Beauty campaign, she wears the Rouge à Lèvres Mat lipstick in Rosso Ancora, the house’s signature red shade, which will soon be available online and in store.

5. Serge Lutens releases new perfume, La fille tour de fer

French perfumer Serge Lutens expands its fragrance selection with La Fille Tour De Fer, inspired by the Parisian free spirit. It contains notes of Turkish and Bulgarian rose absolute and pink pepper essence, a modern floral scent for this spring.

6. Tumi debuts women’s Asra collection with new brand ambassador Mun Ka-young

South Korean actress Mun Ka-young is the face of Tumi’s new Asra collection for women, which includes items such as handbags, crossbody bags and totes. Each bag features pleating details, a knotted shoulder strap and comes in colours such as taupe, rose and purple.

7. Acne Studios opens new location in Harbour City

Swedish brand Acne Studios has opened a new store in Harbour City, offering menswear, womenswear, bags and shoes; it currently showcases the brand’s spring-summer 2024 collection. The shop has an inviting atmosphere, with minimalist rails, angular lighting and cosy elements.

8. Byredo expands make-up line with Mineralscapes collection

Beauty brand Byredo’s latest make-up collection Mineralscapes features a variety of new products in blues, greens and pearlescent tones. The selection includes an eyeshadow palette with 18 colours, plus the ultra-definer brow pencil, which comes in five shades. Byredo’s creative image and make-up partner Lucia Pica was inspired by the serenity of nature.
