Through April 15-23, the US National Park Service will be highlighting special events around the country as part of the Parks 101 program that will feature some of the 417 parks which make up the park service network.

On Wednesday, April 19 at 6 pm EST, "Hamilton" star Jordan Fisher will post a Facebook Live event from Hamilton Grange National Memorial in New York, to share the story of Alexander Hamilton's life and final home.

"I'm honored to join the National Park Foundation to tell the story of Hamilton Grange, a uniquely American place that means a lot to me," Fisher said in a statement.

"I am in awe of the history of the parks, and want to do my part to highlight the importance of preserving and protecting them so future generations can enjoy them too."

The video will kick off the Parks 101 series that aims to familiarize the public with lesser-known parks through unique stories.

This weekend, admission is free at national parks across the US.  Parks are hosting ranger-led activities and offering volunteer opportunities.

The public is also being invited to share photos and stories on social media with the hashtags #FindYourPark, #EncuentraTuParque, and #NPS101 on social media.
