Blue dials are all the rage this year, paired mostly with white gold or stainless steel cases. Vivid blue tones of enamel or lacquer have been applied to dials of various textures, such as sunburst, sand-blasted, guilloche, and grained patterns. In some cases, blue is executed in almost every part of the dial and case, as with Omega’s Speedmaster Moonphase watch, where the hue is splashed on its dial and bezel—and the Liquidmetal applied on the tachymeter scale is also in blue.
