The watch, created in collaboration with the David Bowie Estate to celebrate what would have been Bowie's 70th birthday, was announced via the singer's social media channels and will be available for purchase from October 2017.

Based on Raymond Weil‘s freelancer model, the timepiece has been dubbed the "David Bowie Freelancer" and will be released in a 3,000-piece limited, numbered series.

Features include a 42mm diameter case, dial resembling a vinyl record, an "Aladdin Sane" lightning bolt on its face and Terry O'Neill's iconic 1974 photograph of the late star printed on the sapphire of the watch's case-back (via Pitchfork).
