In 1957, TUDOR Advisor reference 7926 was the first alarm watch ever produced by Hans Wilsdorf, the founder of TUDOR and Rolex, and remains to this day the only watch of the Wilsdorf house to offer such a function.
Produced under three different references between 1957 and 1977, the Advisor was brought back to TUDOR’s offering in 2011 when the Heritage Advisor model was first introduced. Rather than a reedition, reference 79260T and its variations propose a new take on the famous alarm watch retaining key historical design features and bringing additional functions.
Powered by a self-winding ETA calibre 2892, the Heritage Advisor makes use of an additional mechanical module developed in-house for the alarm function. This exclusive mechanism provides useful features for the ergonomics of the alarm function including power reserve indicator and On/Off indicators.
The sound of the alarm function is created by a small hammer hitting repeatedly on a circular gong housed within the additional module of the mechanism. It is guaranteed to last 12 seconds with a homogenous tone. The quality and the level of the sound is enhanced by the use of titanium for the case of the Heritage Advisor.
The Heritage Advisor is available in three different executions with either a silver, black or cognac-toned dial and is fitted with matching colors alligator leather straps or a stainless steel bracelet.
