Chivas introduces a new 13 year blended scotch whisky that comes in two varieties

Chivas brings a brand new blend to The Philippines - introducing the new Chivas Extra 13 collection, a brand-new line of Blended Scotch whiskies!

Perfected by Chivas’ master blender, Sandy Hyslop, these blended whiskies are differentiated from the rest with their unique finishes thanks to special casks which really give it that extra kick.

Not only is it aged for 13 years while the classic Chivas blend takes 12, but its distinct flavours come from Sherry and Rye casks. There are two blends that you can test out to see which best fits your personality and taste. First, the Chivas Extra 13 flavoured with Oloroso Sherry. It’s rich, and somewhat intense but complemented with bright and sweet notes like vanilla, caramel and even some nutty notes like almond. You’ll discover the taste of ripe pears, and syrup hidden in the mix too, plus a dash of spice that adds to the blend’s character.

The second Chivas 13 flavour is American Rye. While it is more mellow, it still maintains a sweet, fruity and spicy flavour profile, but this time with hints of orange, milk chocolate, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. This variation has a notably long, smooth finish.

The Chivas Extra 13 strived to create blends that were to be described as bold and brave. “With drinkers becoming more and more interested in bolder flavours, it’s the best time to create new whisky experiences that both deliver greater enjoyment to whisky fans and attract new drinkers to the exciting world of Blended Scotch whisky,” says Chivas Regal brand manager Mary Jane Wong.

Whether you are a seasoned whisky lover or a total novice, give it a sip and let us know what you think of these two creations.
