The pandemic continues to keep our mouths covered so when the masks are off, make sure to treat yourself to something tasty!

Fresh on the menu at the city’s top Peruvian-Japanese restaurant is a Sapporo specialty, the uni ikura don. A bed of fresh luscious sea urchin is already mouthwatering, but this buttery delicacy also happens to be paired with a generous layer of salmon roe, all of which is on perfectly steamed rice. Yum! How good does that sound? Maybe it’s the shiny glistening pearls of ikura which burst in your mouth, or the tender swaths of uni, but this dish sure is calling our name. Whatever it may be, there are few eats that taste more imperial and decadent than these two sharing one bowl—and all for just PHP595+. 

At a time when travel is a little complicated, at least allow your sense of taste to take a quick trip to the Sapporo seaside. 

Uni Ikura Don is served for dine-in only at Nikkei Rockwell and Nikkei Podium.
