Prepare classic Singaporean dishes at home! Chef Margarita Forés and Chef Ming Tan are ready to collaborate on an exciting new online Masterclass for budding chefs and seasoned cooks alike.

Despite Singapore's relatively small size, the city-state nation south of Malaysia is home to a rich culinary practice. Because their cuisine has been influenced by both Western and Asian traditions, the country has managed to create a unique palate of flavours that's become famous worldwide. This year, as gastronomers both local and abroad continue to celebrate the Singapore Food Festival (albeit from home), the country's Tourism Board has opted to share a bit of their culture through a collection of diverse and interesting Live Masterclasses.

This 22 August 2020 at 7:00pm, join one of Singapore's most renowned chefs, Chef Ming Tan, as he collaborates with Chef Margarita Forés on a Masterclass entitled "2Fast, 2Delicious - Hokks and Clay" on their Facebook event page. Both chefs will share their recipes for two traditional Singaporean dishes namely Hokkien Mee and Claypot Rice. Hokkien Mee is particularly famous in Singapore for its use of fresh noodles alongside prawns, clams, and dried fish. Meanwhile, locals have been known to obsess over Claypot Rice due to its crispy texture, and rich depth of flavour (that comes from cooking the dish over live coals).
