As a prelude to the new Benjarong, Dusit Thani Manila holds a Thai cooking demonstration last September
In partnership with the Royal Thai Embassy, Dusit Thani Manila gathered dignitaries and society high-rollers in Mayuree Ballroom for an exclusive pre-launch of the new Benjarong, targetted for a grand reopening in the last quarter of 2017.
The said event was dubbed as "Thai Culinary Delights" where the hotel's resident Thai chef Watcharapon Yongbanthom showcased her culinary brilliance in demonstrating how to prepare some of the signature dishes to look forward to in the new Benjarong. Chef Ja, as she is affectionately called, shared the secrets behind Thai ingredients and how to prepare and combine them in thoroughly delicious ways.
Besides some members of the press, the intimate gathering was graced by diplomatic and consular corps, representatives from international organisations, society personalities.
As Benjarong approaches its last phase of reconstruction, everybody's excited to see its more elevated look in its new location and a more modern take on Thai gastronomy while retaining the classic, century-old recipes of which it was mainly known for.
