Craving for a delicious frozen dessert? You’re in luck. Italy’s GROM Gelato is now within your reach!
Indulging in a tasty cone or cup of pure, authentic gelato is one of Italy’s quintessential experiences. How better to appreciate a delicious cup than by getting a fresh tub from one of the most premium gelato brands in the world, GROM Gelato?
GROM has travelled at least 10,000 km and finally made its way to the Philippines. But before diving into a pint of creamy vanilla, crunchy stracciatella or sensual chocolate gelato, have you ever wondered what makes gelato different from ice cream? Most of us has probably mistaken gelato for ice cream at least once in our lifetime; and yes, there is a difference. Gelato is creamier, smoother, and more richly-flavoured than ice cream. It is churned at a much slower rate, incorporating less air and leaving it denser than the latter.
This is all true for GROM. As soon as you taste it, you can easily feel the distinctiveness of the gelato, with the richness of the flavour that plays inside your mouth accompanied with the silky-smooth texture evident only from the most pure and authentic Italian gelato.
In hopes of creating the best gelato in the world, GROM was founded in Italy by friends Guido Martinetti and Federico Grom in 2002. The two committed to create gelato the way traditional Italian gelaterias make it – no artificial colouring, aromas, or emulsifiers.
“They have the desire —the wish— to make the best gelato in the world by selecting and sourcing the best ingredients sometimes from Italy, sometimes from the other parts of the world,” said Diego Pacifici, GROM’s global marketing manager, during the brand’s launch on 7 November.
