A mix of hip grooves and plush elegance draws the Makati crowd to FUCT MNL

DSCF1555.jpgThe only indications that FUCT MNL exists along Chino Roces Avenue are the green lights peeking out from the cracks beneath the doors and the bouncers outside. Otherwise, it would be easy to miss this newest hangout in the metro. But the last thing you would want is to overlook this club-slash-speakeasy. For anyone who wants to spend Friday nights grooving to loud ’90s, hip-hop, and R&B music, the first floor of the club is for you. Inside, you’ll fi nd neon signs spelling out the seven deadly sins over the bar and a wall of cassette tapes on one side. But if you prefer to chill in peace, go through the secret door that leads to the second fl oor for the speakeasy, peppered with plush seats to get you comfy while sipping your drinks. Enjoy classic cocktails made better with unexpected twists such as the White Bitch, a non-traditional sangria made with white wine, Martini Bianco, and vodka; Den’s Potion, a mixture of Yakult, gin, and egg white foam; and more.

Who to Know

IMG_0505.jpgChef Mark Anthony Antonio didn’t exactly consider a culinary career, as he was trained for a different profession! But the Pampanga native has always loved food and now adds local flavours to dishes like nachos and beefy quesadillas.
