On 17 November 2016, The Café at Hyatt City of Dreams Manila invites Manila to an evening of fine cuisine, music, and generosity at a fundraising dinner for the children of Operation Smile Philippines, priced at PHP 2,800 net per plate at The Café.
The charity initiative consists of a silent auction of the Hyatt Hotels Corporation’s premier accommodation from different parts of the globe, and continues the fundraising activities of Hyatt and Operation Smile in 2015 which initially raised PHP 225,000, funding the surgical procedures of 17 children. This year, the Hyatt management team led by General Manager Peter Sullivan and Human Resources Director Nina Quinto aims to raise a total of PHP 600,000, enough to support the reconstructive surgical procedures of 40 children with cleft lip and cleft palate conditions.
In addition to the silent auction, the evening will be graced by musical performances from Kanta Pilipinas winner Chadleeen Lacdo-O, who was a former patient of Operation Smile born with a cleft palate and now a living testimony to the life-changing work that Operation Smile does. Current titleholders of Binibining Pilipinas Charities, another partner of Operation Smile Philippines, and the sale of specially crafted Operation Smile Christmas stuffed toy bears, are additional highlights on the evening of hope.
