Enjoy an idyllic mid-day break and savour Filipino-themed high tea at the Lobby Lounge this month

Makati Shangri-La, Manila brings the flavours of the Philippines with Lobby Lounge’s Filipino-themed high tea. From delightful savouries such as Ilocos’ tuna kinilaw (a local version of ceviche) to Visayas’ chicken inasal and chorizo and Pampanga’s sisig in wanton cups and kaldereta quiche topped with kesong puti. The luscious sweet concoctions feature Tigre y Oliva—a homegrown chocolate brand that highlights the finest sustainably sourced cacao beans from Davao. Together with People in Need, an international non-government organisation, Tigre y Oliva’s goal is to improve the Filipino farmer’s livelihood by distributing 160,000 seedlings and training 200 farmers from areas all over the country. It has also partnered with the Forest Foundation for the Typhoon Yolanda rehabilitation and resiliency project.

Have a taste of Filipino merienda with an assortment of decadent Filipino-inspired treats, including Davao chocolate mousse with banana crisp, Bicol pili nuts chocolate chilli tartlettes and Mindoro calamansi with chocolate pralines, to name a few. They can complement each bite with the relaxing verdant garden views and soothing live music by an eight-piece orchestra.

The Filipino High Tea is priced at PHP 1,500 ++ and is available daily at Lobby Lounge from 3 to 6 p.m. until August 31, 2018.
