Two new aburi sushi rolls make it to the line-up, too
Ippudo is all about constant innovation and bringing new dishes to the table. To round out their menu of world-famous ramen, and make their line-up even more impressive, the Philippine camp just released two new ramen specials—Shoyu Tonkotsu and Tokusei Tantanmen.
Shoyu, or soy sauce, is a classic in Japan, known for its savory punch. Ippudo’s Shoyu Tonkotsu (Php 499), features thick and flat noodles and their original fifteen-hour tonkotsu broth seasoned with shoyu dashi. It’s topped with torched pork belly chashu, shio tamago, chashu floss, garlic chips, negi, ajikikurage, and kouyu oil.
They are also reintroducing their Tantanmen as Tokusei Tantanmen (Php 520). They first released it as a limited-edition dish back in 2017, and it became an instant crowd-favorite among spicy food-lovers. This much-awaited bowl of ramen features thick and wavy noodles, and a mix of pork tonkotsu and paitan broths infused with sesame oil. Topped with torched pork belly chashu, spicy ground pork, shio tamago, bok choy, takanazuke, tantanmen oil, and cashew nuts.
