Two new aburi sushi rolls make it to the line-up, too

Ippudo is all about constant innovation and bringing new dishes to the table. To round out their menu of world-famous ramen, and make their line-up even more impressive, the Philippine camp just released two new ramen specials—Shoyu Tonkotsu and Tokusei Tantanmen.

Shoyu, or soy sauce, is a classic in Japan, known for its savory punch. Ippudo’s Shoyu Tonkotsu (Php 499), features thick and flat noodles and their original fifteen-hour tonkotsu broth seasoned with shoyu dashi. It’s topped with torched pork belly chashu, shio tamago, chashu floss, garlic chips, negi, ajikikurage, and kouyu oil.

They are also reintroducing their Tantanmen as Tokusei Tantanmen (Php 520). They first released it as a limited-edition dish back in 2017, and it became an instant crowd-favorite among spicy food-lovers.  This much-awaited bowl of ramen features thick and wavy noodles, and a mix of pork tonkotsu and paitan broths infused with sesame oil. Topped with torched pork belly chashu, spicy ground pork, shio tamago, bok choy, takanazuke, tantanmen oil, and cashew nuts.

Each bowl at Ippudo is carefully crafted with hand-selected ingredients including chashu slow-cooked and marinated for 34 hours until fork-tender, and torched for a smoky hit in flavour and texture.

Ippudo’s world-famous ramen is best paired with their signature sushi. In addition to their Ebi Tempura Roll and Torched Salmon Roll, they’re launching Aburi Spicy Salmon and Aburi Shrimp Tartar to their sushi line-up. Their Aburi Spicy Salmon Roll (Php 199) features torched spicy salmon, aka mayo, and crisp panko on top of cucumber and cream cheese sushi rolls, finished with unagi sauce. Their Aburi Shrimp Tartar Roll (Php 199) features torched shrimp tartar and crisp spring roll skin on top of asparagus and crab meat sushi rolls, finished with unagi sauce.
