As the flagship restaurant of Discovery Country Suites, recently honoured with the prestigious Haute Grandeur Best Bed and Breakfast in Asia Award, the folks at Restaurant Verbena mean business, especially when it comes to their breakfast selection
Drawing inspiration from the award the property received, Executive Chef Gerwin Bailon wanted to take Restaurant Verbena’s Country Breakfast menu up another notch with his new dishes.
Some of the new additions to the menu include the Congee with Pork Crackling, a hearty take on the Filipino staple dish, the Miso Glazed Fish Fillet, a playful mix of the sweet and umami flavors of miso and milkfish, and the Verbena Signature Toast, which is a perfect treat for the sweet tooth.
Vegetarians are also in for a treat with the Veggie Breakfast Taco, made from soft wheat tortilla filled with mixed grilled vegetables and lathered with garlic aioli, which altogether create a flavor-packed dish that even non-vegetarians can enjoy.
