Christian Mark takes his Naked Patisserie to a whole new level with the launch of its e-commerce site

Some people know him as the better half of renowned designer Francis Libiran. But, in his own right, Christian Mark Jacobs is the creative mind behind Naked Patisserie, an enterprise that has been offering some of the most exquisite wedding cakes – and a number of other delectable confections – over the past year.

“I actually launched the business when Francis and I got married last year,” Jacobs says of Naked Patisserie. Indeed, social media went mad over the magnificent rustic confection that was the five-tier lemon bourbon cake served at the couple’s reception in Boracay. So much, in fact, that numerous celebrities have been ordering Jacobs’ cakes for their own weddings. Now, those with a serious sweet tooth can order a variety of edible masterpieces – from Jacobs’ signature cakes to gift sets featuring toothsome cookies and luxurious Oreo cheesecake truffles – through Naked Patisserie’s new online store.

 

Signature specialities currently available include a French Vanilla Éclair Cake that features a fluffy vanilla sponge topped with homemade chocolate éclairs; the unctuously moist Strawberries and Cream Cake with cream cheese frosting; and Jacobs’ own spin on the classic Red Velvet Cake with its topping of red velvet crumbs and edible gold pearls. The online menu also includes three delectable cheesecakes: Pick-Me-Up (espresso chocolate); New York, New York (Jacobs’ riff on an American classic); and Pucker Up (lemon.)

Jacobs will also be adding wines to the product list: a selection of red, white, and sparkling from vineyards in Lecce, Italy under his own label, The Naked Foodie.
