Tauro brings Basque traditions to the heart of Makati City

_IMG_5225.jpgPintxos are served in the bars of the Basque Country along the border of Spain and France. From the Spanish word pinchar meaning poke or to stab, these little plates—similar to the tapas of Spain—are small slices of bread topped with special ingredients and held together by a toothpick pierced in the middle, hence the name. Pintxos are best enjoyed with zurrito (a small glass of beer), txakolí (sparkling white wine), or sidra (cider). This is the concept behind Tauro Pintxos Tapas Wine Bar, a newly opened bar in Makati City.

From the same forces behind Society Lounge, Tauro serves dishes that transports its customers to the Basque motherland. Using the best local produce and imported ingredients, the bar serves exclusive cold cuts from the region such as Chorizo Iberico and Jamón Serrano. Enjoy their extensive selection of wine, beer, and best-selling sangria with Chorizo Quail Egg Pintxos, Pintxos Morunos, and more.
