Where To Eat For Valentines 2021: Nikkei's 6-Course Menu Is The Perfect Way To Celebrate Love This Month
Promotion: February 5 - 28 2021 (Expired)
What are the two best things to hope for this 2021? For us, it's travel and a little romance. But while protocols are still in place, perhaps the next best thing is a really good meal, one that's transportive and romantic all at the same time. Welcome: Nikkei's special Valentine's degustation. Available between 5 to 28 February 2021, Manila's favourite Peruvian-Japanese restaurant is offering a six-course tasting menu at its Rockwell and Podium branches, available for lovebirds no matter the label.
Begin your meal with a light serving of tiradito callao and wasabi ceviche, both of which are types of seafood that go beautifully with a sprinkle of salt or a squeeze of lime. This is followed by sushi, from a Harusame of fresh salmon and cream cheese to a Kinomi roll that consists of tender steak, juicy shrimp, asparagus, and sweet potato. Nigiri topped with aburi salmon belly and truffle oil follows, alongside wagyu skirt steak, smoked prawn with spicy mayo, and squid tempura.
For your main course, indulge in the restaurant's signature seared duck breast and potato cream. Finally, for dessert, a traditional Valentine's Day special: chocolate. Following Nikkei's fusion ethos, dessert is matcha truffles made from white chocolate and cashews.
Those who want to add a bit of a tipsy twist may also opt for a sake pairing at Nikkei Rockwell this 4 February 2021 or a wine pairing at Nikkei Podium this 10 February 2021.
