The ramen joint responsible for the city's ramen craze is back for dine-in
The famous, wait-in-line-delicious and notorious Ukokkei Ramen Ron in Arnaiz shut its doors, sending shockwaves through the country's ramen fanatics. Thankfully, it was since totally rebranded and brought back into our lives. In October of 2020, Manila was presented with an updated, more contemporary brand by the name of Ramen Ron. This new concept is still headed by notoriously no-nonsense, often hot-headed, chef Tamura-san, but this time in collaboration with chef Margarita and Amado Forés.

"The iconic Chef Tamura-san who pioneered the ramen trend [in the country], is smiling now, moves on, and opens with us," says chef Margarita.
Ramen Ron’s classic tantanmen, hiyashi goma and other stellar ramens have been ready for order online, as the brand operates as a cloud restaurant primed for delivery. On top of that, their pivot to adapt to the pandemic's many restraints pushed them to develop fun DIY ramen kits as well. Dig in and chow down on their crave-worthy gyoza, chahan (Japanese fried rice) and karaage (Japanese fried chicken) too, if you want a bit more than noodles.
