The Moment Group launches its latest delicious concept: Shawa Wama, where the exotic meets grab-and-go
Just when you thought the vibrant foodie offerings at the Power Plant Mall couldn’t get any hotter (both in the literal and figurative sense), The Moment Group (TMG) was five steps ahead—as always—and is opening the first branch of its shawarma street food-esque outlet, Shawa Wama, on the ground floor of the recently updated mall.
Dovetailing the TMG pitch (they’ve already nailed Filipino, Japanese, and American cuisine), Shawa Wama is their latest addition to an impressive multi-concept portfolio. The affordable order-over-the counter concept, Shawa Wama hits those spicy “street food” cravings head on with a slew of exotic (albeit TMG tweaked) dishes and flavours hailing from Israel, Lebanon, and Turkey.
Switching out shawarma wraps for stuffed pita pockets, there are a number of other nuanced menu items to try, namely the filling rice bowls and the hummus options (the hummus, mind you, is creamier and smoother than the usual. Read: no grittiness). Meat lovers will want to try all-of-the-above Wama Specials (beef, chicken, and lamb), which can be paired with either hummus, pita or rice. The ultimate carnivore’s take out, however, has to be the 12-hour sous vide primo beef slab over rice or with the Wama Special. A hangover remedy you say? We’d have to agree.
