Before July ends, The Wholesome Table, a health-focused restaurant, brings some of our favourite comfort food that we have enjoyed both at home and abroad. These familiar dishes that everyone has come to love are reinvented with wellness in mind, using healthier, guilt-free ingredients.
On the menu is the torched salmon bowl made with miso-glazed salmon atop Ifugao black rice, seasoned with wasabi mayo, pickled ginger, furikake, wakame and ebiko as well as the grilled pork chop with bacon braised red cabbage, herb-roasted squash and topped with truffled mushroom sauce. Those are innovative versions of cult favourites such as the miso-glazed salmon and pork chops.
If you’re a vegetarian, the caramelised walnut and onion pizza won’t disappoint. It’s the perfect marriage of sweetness from the caramelised walnuts and onions, and sharp, salty notes of feta cheese.
