Chef Tricia and Carlo both spent quite an amount of time working in the culinary melting pot of London, England. They combined their many years of experience, expertise and passion for food into developing restaurant concepts here in the Philippines: The Black Pig opened in Alabang, and as of late, The Pig Pen! The restaurant exemplifies their life experiences and adventures, as it showcases Asian and European food alike, an amalgamation of the international journey’s they have both lived through.

The restaurant is small and well appointed, designed by Chako Hirayama and Jobele Tee. It is decked out in warm tones, and a lot of wood – very sleek and chic. Every table is spacious and all their chairs are comfortable too.

The Pig Pen has a wide variety of items to try out on the menu, all of which are affordable. From mushroom truffle soup, sisig papadam nachos, beef brisket with lemongrass, pulled pork canaloni, to fried chicken mole – there is definitely something for everyone.

The Pig Pen is a great way to escape the hustle and bustle in the middle of Makati. The ambience is relaxing and laid back – casually sophisticated. Pig Pen’s food is thoughtful, packed with flavour and does not scrimp out on quality. Stop by to try out these classics with a twist for a refreshing workday lunch (service is fast so you won’t miss that afternoon meeting), weekend brunch or any day dinner!
