Man Ho Celebrates Chinese New Year
Man Ho is serving a luxurious and auspicious eight-course Lunar Set Menu for five persons at Php 8,800++. Diners get to feast in an assortment of barbecued meat, mashed wintermelon with crabmeat soup, steamed green grouper with light soy sauce, braised pork ribs in vinegar sauce, sautéed seasonal vegetable, onglay fried rice, fried sesame balls with lotus seed paste, and almond lychee.
They are also offering a 10-course Lunar Set Menu good for 10 persons at Php 29,988++ and the lavish Prosperity Set Menu for 12 persons for a 9-course menu inclusive of a Poonchoi Deluxe which can also be upgraded to Poonchoi Premium for an additional Php 5,000++. Poon Choi is a meticulously layered bowl filled with the most-priced ingredients varying from seafood, meat, and vegetables. Savour the massive combination of flavours of abalone, fish maw, dried scallop, prawns, sea moss, cuttlefish, roasted duck, chicken, pork knuckle, and vegetables bathed in rich broth—a cuisine definitely fit for gatherings and festivities.

One can start their countdown to the Year of the Rat with a Chinese-inspired dinner feast at Café Eight. Diners will be served with diverse colours and aromatic flavours such as pickled black fungus, shanghai smoked fish, peking duck, Hainanese chicken, dim sum, and desserts. The rate per person is Php 2,150 net inclusive of unlimited juices, sodas, local beers, and wines. The Feast for Prosperity Dinner Buffet promotion is available at Café Eight until January 25, from 6:00 to 10:00 pm daily.

Cantonese cuisine with symbolisms of harmony, good luck and abundance is highlighted at Crystal Dragon’s Chinese New Year ala carte and set menus, available for lunch and dinner until January 31. Diners can toss to a prosperous Lunar New Year with a bountiful serving of Prosperity Abalone Yu Sheng, a lavish salad of abalone, chopped peanuts, deep-fried flour crisps, shredded radish and ginger, and pomelo among others, which is then finished with oil and plum sauce. There are two set menus available: the seven-course Happiness Menu priced at Php 3,080++ and the eight-course Magnificent Menu priced at Php 5,680++, both of which start with the Prosperity Abalone Yu Sheng and cater to four to six persons.
Culinary Celebration At Lung Hin
Available from 24 January to 3 February 2020, gourmands may look forward to special set menus that fit dining parties of five or 10 persons. The Good Wealth set menu features Lung Hin’s signature Sauteed Tiger Prawns with Homemade Chili Sauce, Steamed Fresh Garoupa with Superior Soya Sauce, and Crispy Roasted Baby Duck. On the other hand, the Good Fortune set menu includes Baked Slipper Lobster in Supreme Stock, Braised South African Abalone with Japanese Oysters and Vegetables, and Signature Salt-Baked Chicken.

This Year of the Metal Rat, a gastronomic plethora showcasing Peking, Szechuan, Guangzhou, and Shanghai cuisines headline Spiral’s Chinese Atelier led by Chinese Master Chef Eddie Chua.
Each cuisine is presented in a weekly rotation starting with Peking cuisine and its staple dishes. Szechuan cuisine takes centre stage on the second week of festivities featuring Tea-Smoked Duck, Wok-Fried Mini Lobster with Szechuan Chili, Sauteed Beef Tenderloin Spicy Szechuan Style, and Chicken with Kung Pao Sauce. On the third week, Guangzhou cuisine elevates the line-up with richly scrumptious offerings including Roasted Suckling Pig, Superior Soya Pigeon, among others. Closing the celebrations is Shanghai cuisine featuring Baked Scallion Soya Seabass, Drunken Chicken, Crispy Fried Pigeon, and Assorted Traditional Dimsum.
January 24 rates are set at Php 2,850 nett for lunch and Php 3,888 nett for dinner. On Chinese New Year, January 25 rates are set at Php 3,588 nett for lunch and Php 3,888 nett for dinner.

Flame Restaurant celebrates the Year of the Metal Rat with a special Chef’s Tasting Menu carefully prepared by Executive Chef Luis Chikiamco. Begin your meal with a “Kung Pao” Shrimp Salad, then proceed with Pan-Seared Foie Gras with ginger-rice “soubise” thee-vinegar reduction, smoked duck breast, and soft egg “sous vide”.
Savour the third course made of tender Lemongrass-Steamed Chilean Sea Bass with XO risotto, Asian “gremolata” and scallions, followed with a Flame favorite, the Five Spice Duck Leg “Confit” with take-out “Dan Dan” noodles, minced pork, sesame paste, peanuts, and bok choy.
