Wolfgang’s Steakhouse has been Manila’s go-to dining destination for high quality steaks since they opened in the Philippines in 2016. It was first established in 2004 in New York by Wolfgang Zweiner, who decided to put up his own steakhouse after 40 years of working in the industry. It didn’t take long until Wolfgang’s Steakhouse became known for its delicious USDA Prime dry-aged steaks, and grew into the globally-renowned institution it is today.

The legendary steakhouse continues to improve and innovate to offer unforgettable experiences to their customers. This year alone, the restaurant launched their catering services and partnered with Philippine Airlines to offer their dishes in-flight. This December, they’ve teamed up with none other than the leading importer of luxury wines, spirits, and champagne, Moët Hennessy, for the perfect way to celebrate the season.

The exciting partnership started out as an idea of Wolfgang’s Steakhouse President Peter Zweiner. The two brands share uncompromising standards in quality and refined tastes, making them a great match. With holidays just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to launch this much-awaited tie-up.

Several tastings and training sessions were held to ensure guests have the best dining experience. Teams from both brands used their expertise and worked tirelessly to fine-tune the final product. The result: three carefully curated pairing menus featuring the restaurant’s best dishes, and wines and spirits from Moët Hennessy’s remarkable portfolio of world-renowned brands.

Each pairing menu serves four people. Guests can expect to choose from the steakhouse’s well-loved dishes, from fresh seafood to indulgent steaks. Each dish is complemented by its uniquely paired drink, that brings out and elevates its flavours. Sip on Moët and Chandon, Veuve Clicqout, Numanthia, and Hennessy Cognac, while you savour your meal.

At Wolfgang’s Steakhouse, the main event is the steak. This time, guests will be able to enjoy it with Terrazas de los Andes Single Vineyard Malbec from 2015. The elegant and complex vintage from the award-winning winery has delicate fruity and balsamic notes, making it an ideal pair for red meat.

Members of the press and friends of the brand got a taste of the pairings during the launch held last December 12, 2019 at the elegant Wolfgang’s Steakhouse in The Podium. Guests of the intimate affair were treated to a splendid night of delicious food and drink; while learning about the histories of Wolfgang’s Steakhouse and Moët Hennessy, the stories behind their exquisite dishes and drinks, and the intricacies of food and wine pairing.
