The ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) awarded the region’s 47 top entrepreneurs at a gala for the ASEAN Business Awards (ABA) 2017 at the Solaire Grand Casino and Resort. The award casts the spotlight on these promising companies that have the potential to be global economic players.

“The ASEAN-BAC has been instrumental in realising our common aspiration of serving the growth of our people. We also challenge those who have achieved success to embrace the MSMEs,” says President Rodrigo Duterte. 518 delegates from across Asia, including government offi cials, members of the diplomatic corps, Asian business leaders, and notable women, youth, and entrepreneurs graced the event. Among others, winners from the Philippines include Teodoro Ferrer and Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala of Erikagen Inc for the Inclusive Business Award; and John Gokongwei Jnr of JG Summit Holdings received the Legacy Award.
