Japanese lifestyle brand UNIQLO opened the doors to its newest store in the Philippines to much anticipation. Located at Glorietta 5, the space spans 4,100sqm and now holds the record as the biggest flagship store in Southeast Asia. True to Japanese festive customaries, VIP guests led a sake barrel– breaking ceremony at the pre-opening event. Fast Retailing Co. Chairman Tadashi Yanai and other UNIQLO executives, Japanese Ambassador Koji Haneda, Tessie Sy-Coson, and Fernando Zobel de Ayala were among those in attendance.
