Introduced by common friends 12 years ago, Atom Henares and Nathalie Küfper dated for a time. But duty called, and Nathalie had to move away. The pair kept in touch, making their best efforts to meet up whenever they could in Europe and the Philippines. Last year, Atom arranged for a romantic getaway to Pangulasian Island, where he asked for Nathalie’s hand in marriage on a secluded beach at sundown.
On 2 February 2018, the couple said their “I do’s” in an intimate ceremony at the picturesque Antonio’s in Tagaytay, surrounded by 130 of their closest friends and family members. The bride was stunning in her Vania Romoff gown, while the groom looked dapper in his Christian Dior tux. Guests flocked to the Lanai Lounge for cocktails, and later moved to the deck for a sumptuous dinner paired with Italian wines. The reception was hosted by the groom’s son, Quark Henares, and touching speeches from Atom’s and Nathalie’s fathers and witnesses served as some of the highlights of the night. An after-party at the Chef’s Room capped off the festivities, where the couple and their guests danced to ’80s and ’90s hits and enjoyed ice cream and hard drinks til the wee hours of the morning.
