The first T.Dining event, entitled Manille-Sur-Mer, a four-hands dinner was held last night at Mirèio of the Raffles Makati, one of the Top 20 Best Restaurants recognised in this year’s T.Dining Best Restaurant Guide. For a donation of Php 10,000 per person made to the Save Palawan Seas Foundation, guests were invited to the exclusive gustatory experience prepared by renowned Chef de Cuisine, Aaron Isip together with Mirèio’s head chef, Herve Clair.
Upon arrival, Tatler foodie friends sampled hors d’œvres while sipping on the blush Domaines OTT Côte de Provence rosé from Bacchus (T.Dining’s partner for this special evening) at the alfresco Mirèio Terrace Bar before making their way down to the fine-dining restaurant for the main event.
Before the stunning 5-course sequence of the mains, a trio of delicate entrees whet the appetite for what was to come. These were paired with the Domaines OTT’s Clos Mireille Blanc 2014, Clos Mireille rosé 2015, and the Château Romassan 2012, carefully curated from Bacchus’ cellar. Capping the degustation and most memorable evening were two exquisite desserts.
One hundred (100) per cent of the fundraiser proceeds will go to the Save Palawan Seas Foundation, whose goal is developing conservation strategies for the sustainability of the island’s marine resources. We are delighted to announce that Php 500,000.00 was raised for this very deserving cause.
