Artists, collectors, enthusiasts, and friends turned up at the León Gallery in celebration of its founding director’s birthday. It also marked a milestone for the auction house—they achieved top art sales in the country as well as several world records for having sold 11 out of 12 of the Philippines’ most expensive paintings. Guests enjoyed an Italian menu prepared by Chef Margarita Forés, while music masterminded by Robbie Santos livened up the crowd. The gallery’s walls displayed important portraits by no less than Juan Luna y Novicio and Fernando Amorsolo y Cueto, among others, adding to the A-list attendees.
