Just a year after crossing each other’s paths at the Malacañang Palace in 1966, Antonio Lagdameo and Linda Floirendo tied the knot. 50 years on, their whirlwind romance resulted in seven loving children and a great deal of travelling around the world. The well-respected ambassador and his philanthropic wife attribute giving and taking as the secret of their enduring relationship. To celebrate their golden anniversary, their kids—all accomplished in their respective fields—invited friends and family to Manila House for an intimate gathering. Guests were treated to free-flowing champagne and wine as well as sumptuous food including jamón de Jabugo flown in from Spain. Former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, Senator Serge and Bettina Osmeña, British Ambassador Daniel Pruce, former Ambassador Ignacio and Bubut Sagaz, Mariter Macapagal, and other old friends were in attendance. There’s nothing more the couple could wish for other than an even brighter future for their family.
