The Tasting Room: A Tour Of The Senses
This very memorable evening was in the T.Dining pipeline for quite some time since the redesign of NÜWA hotel’s contemporary fine dining French restaurant, The Tasting Room, as well as the recent appointment of its accomplished Chef de Cuisine Frederic Thevenet. The delicious reinvention of such a storied establishment in Manila’s dining scene thus required a thorough sampling, which 40 of T.Dining’s friendly palates were more than happy to do.
To start, champagne and canapés of Thevenet’s devise were hosted at the well-appointed Crystal Villa overlooking the impressive gilt City Of Dreams complex. Charming melodies from an accordionist wafted through the air to set the mood while guests nibbled and sipped away.
Post cocktails, guests moved down to the gorgeous dimly-lit, high-ceilinged The Tasting Room for an exceptional four-course dinner meticulously prepared by Thevenet. This was served with outstanding vintages, of note the unforgettable Chateau Haut-Brion 1st Grand Cru Classe 2004.
