Fernando Zobel de Ayala, Federico de Vera, Joven Cuanang

Art aficionados turned up en masse as the doors were officially opened for Curated by Federico de Vera, possibly one of the most ambitious exhibitions mounted by the Ayala Museum. Consisting of over 300 carefully selected pieces of art from various public and private collections throughout the country, the exhibition presents a visual history of the Filipino people and dares to ask where our culture stands and where it is headed. The event was formally kicked off with opening remarks by Mariles Gustilo, senior director for arts and culture of the Ayala Foundation, along with a brief rationale for the exhibition from internationally renowned jewellery designer and aesthetic savant Federico de Vera. Throughout the event, guests roamed through the three primary exhibition areas, marvelling at the splendour of Philippine art through the years
