Poh Yun Ru
Designer, NUS Design Incubation Centre
People with dementia often lose basic life skills. But Poh Yun Ru’s Rewind, a cognitive stimulation therapy tool, is turning back the clock and effectively giving them precious time back. Rewind uses visual aids, motion-tracking tools and sensory cues to spur memory, so patients can relearn how to perform essential tasks such as making tea, watering plants and walking their dogs. It won the 2022 Grand Prix at Lexus Design Award and iF Design Award.
