To bring together the Gen.T community one last time in 2019, we held a series of informal networking events across Asia to give honourees a chance to review the year, build meaningful bonds and look ahead to 2020.
The events took place in Shanghai, Singapore, Taipei and Kuala Lumpur.
In Shanghai, we collaborated with luxury accessories brand Zesh, founded by Gen.T honouree Dong Haoze, to put together an intimate workshop for Gen.T honourees at Tatler House. Attendees conversed during the shared experience, as they customised their own luggage tags.
In Singapore, we held a cocktail reception at The Stags' Room at NCO Club. As a means to get the conversation flowing and focused, each of the 25 honourees was given a sticker that said said "Ask me about..." as well as a marker to fill in something they'd like to share with their fellow honourees.
In Taipei and Kuala Lumpur, we hosted dinners for Gen.T honourees. In Kuala Lumpur, we brought together 25 honourees at hot new restaurant SPG by Bijan. Before dinner, The Biji-Biji Initiative, an upcycling startup founded by Gen.T honouree Rashvin Pal Singh, hosted an informal workshop session. Honourees learned how to turn used plastic water bottles into a self-sustaining garden, even taking their creations home with them.
In Taipei, we hosted dinner at honouree Fudy Chen's Taipei restaurant, L'Idiot. Ten honourees joined us for modern, seasonal cuisine and lively conversation late into the night.
