One day, Ian woke up and decided to make his own beer—one that would appeal, in particular, to the Filipino palate. Formerly involved with shipping, this move was a giant leap (both in terms of industries and employment) for the beer-lover, but he chased his frothy dream nonetheless and set up Napa Gapa Beverages Corporation, of which he is President. Besides building his craft brand, he swears by cultivating a culture within the company that is fun, casual and family-oriented. “I constantly strive to produce better beer for our customers. If many people enjoy and appreciate it, that inspires me to continue what we’re doing,” says the bubbly budding entrepreneur. “But,” he adds, “what I’m most proud of is being able to balance my personal life with starting a new business, as family is the most important thing to me.”
Secret to success: Sharing his blessings with others and being happy—in both the personal and professional departments.
