1. A resort-like home in the Philippines

The Laude family’s new home is an urban sanctuary that melds Small Laude’s elegant taste with Ed Calma’s contemporary style. Boasting clean lines, glass panels, slate greys and deep blacks, the handsome structure features a plethora of entertainment areas including a movie room, a pool with a lounge area, a home gym, and a spacious garden. To amplify the resort-like feel of the residence, Laude also intends to have a gazebo built on the roof deck in the coming years.

2. The weekend home of Donnie and Crickette Tantoco in Philippines

This charming abode in the suburbs serves as a relaxing haven where husband and wife Donnie and Crickette Tantoco unwind for three days of the week with their family. The homely retreat was designed according to the flow of each of the family members’ daily routine. The kitchen and garden, for example, allows Crickette to personally prepare meals for her family, while the pool house is where their son, Christian, has set up his photo studio.

3. A house in Ipoh, Malaysia, built by an architect for his parents

Architect Kenny Chong of Malaysian multi-disciplinary practice A3 Projects built this stunning home in Ipoh from the ground up as a ‘perfect house’ for his family. Surrounded by nature and breathtaking views, Chong toyed with various ideas and concepts before ultimately settling on a curved structure comprising interlocking courtyards topped with a barn-like roof. Chong worked on the design together with his wife Sin, also a trained architect, and shaped the home with his parents’ input.

4. Jimmy Choo’s bespoke penthouse in Kuala Lumpur

This 1,754 sqft penthouse belonging to Malaysian designer Jimmy Choo, who helms his eponymous international shoe brand that’s beloved by fashionistas and celebrities worldwide, is located in the Star Residences in Kuala Lumpur. Dressed by award-winning design firm OD&A, the luxurious modern-classic space reflects Choo’s identity with cultural and nostalgic elements as well as bespoke furniture pieces that were designed specifically for the fashion icon.

Nestled within a classic walk-up building with a distinct layout that's typically found in rural areas in Hong Kong, this 700 sqft, two-bedroom, one-bathroom home on Lamma Island is surrounded by lush greenery. The homeowners tasked Hong Kong-based interior design firm Studio Amal to incorporate further elements of nature into the home’s interiors. The firm carried out a layout overhaul to maximise the visibility of the surrounding greens, and also updated the interiors with Tadelakt, wood, plaster and stone to give the space a modern look.
