Should the creators of 13 Going on 30 decide to remake this iconic rom-com, we have a few celebrities in mind who can fill the roles including Jenna Rink and Matt Flamhaff!

The wishing dust still works—and it brought Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo together again, years after portraying Jenna Rink and Matt Flamhaff in 13 Going on 30. Immediately, fans of the classic romantic comedy movie expressed their excitement over the reunion after the two posted a cute photo on their social media accounts.

Lately, many iconic celebrities have reconnected for a reunion during the pandemic. This has led fans to demand either a remake or a sequel to their beloved shows and movies. But while we would still want to see Jenna and Matt back on screen, just to see where the fictional couple would be now, a sequel wouldn't feel right. Only because 13 Going on 30's ending was enough to tell us that the couple has finally gotten their happily ever after.

If anything, instead of a sequel, a remake would be more probable. Just imagine the new slang, trends, and style. If the creators do consider remaking 13 Going on 30 in the 21st century, we have a few celebrities to fill the role in mind.

Although there are many gorgeous and talented celebrities today, there is only one person who should play the adult version of Jenna Rink. Christa Allen, the actress who played the young Jenna in the movie, needs to reprise her role as the adult version. Recently, Christa dressed up as the big-time magazine editor in a TikTok video, which only convinced the most of us that she would fit the role quite well. To make things even better, Christa is turning 30 this year.

Matt Flamhaff

The loveable Joe Keery can take on the role of the equally adorable Matty Flamhaff. Although we've known Joe as Steve Harrington in the Netflix series Stranger Things, it would be interesting to see Joe flip the script in 13 Going on 30.

However, if one disregarded age and decided to cast an actor who had a resemblance with the original Matt, it would be Noah Centineo. Many have acknowledged this resemblance in the past as well.

Lucy Wyman

Casting a mean girl to play Tom Tom or Lucy Wyman would make sense. This is why Amanda Seyfried would most likely do well in portraying 13 Going on 30's antagonist. Amanda can be gorgeously cheeky if she must—and her previous performances in In Time, Jennifer's Body and Mean Girls is all the proof we need.
